Dr. Ammar A. Raja

"Dr. Ammar A. Raja" is a Disruptive Data Scientist, and believes in using the power of Big Data Analytics to disrupt everything from the Banking sector to the Government. Currently he is working on projects involving Real Time Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Cognitive Computing using IBM’s Supercomputer Watson, Fintech and Data Driven Web applications. Dr. Raja is on IBM’s Academic Initiative and IBM Watson Analytics Faculty program which gives him full access to Watson’s Computing capabilities.Dr. Raja has a Phd in Finance from London School of Economics & Political Science, and has researched pricing complex Derivatives Contracts i.e. Options.  He has worked in the Fintech and Banking Industry (Lazard Investment Bank) in United Kingdom before joining Academia in Pakistan. He has also worked as Assistant Professor of Finance in Comsats Islamabad for three years before moving to University of Management & Technology (UMT) Lahore as Assistant Professor of Business Analytics.Currently he is teaching Data Science and Business Analytics at UMT along with doing workshops on Data Science Applications for the Corporate Sector.  Dr. Raja is working on a number of projects including a startup to provide real time property price analytics by structuring all the unstructured data from the web and then provide real time insights to users in the form of dynamic visualisations on the basis of that data.

Dr. Nauman Shah

With extensive experience in using serious games to make training more immersive, engaging and motivating, Nauman aims to bring an innovative change in the education system by providing an interactive and immersive teaching environment. His research interests include gamification of Information Systems training modules to provide simulation based experience to the students.          

Nauman has done his PhD in Computer Science from University of Hertfordshire where he worked as a research associate for a European Commission–funded project, Supervised Care and Rehabilitation Involving Personal Tele-Robotics (SCRIPT). His Interest Area includes Gamification, Serious games, Information Systems, Simulation training, VR. Currently he is working on Analyzing the effects ERP implementation in HEIs on staff perception, motivation and behavior.He also Worked in collaboration with a European Commission–funded project, Supervised Care and Rehabilitation Involving Personal Tele-Robotics (SCRIPT) - http://scriptproject.eu/, aimed identify the key design features of games that enhance the stroke patients', with limited motor movements, experience of therapy sessions and effectively motivating them into participating more actively in the therapy.

Mian Usman Sattar

Mr. Usman Sattar has more than ten years of training and consultancy experience in the fields of Information System & System Security. He has conducted several trainings in his area of interest for national & multinational clients with respect to industrial focus. His expertise in  Enterprise Resource Planning software has enabled him to train a wide variety of people on how to use IT solutions. He firmly believes that Pakistan is on the fast track towards becoming a digital economy, therefore, it is necessary for different organizations to adopt ERP software for surviving in the higher competition that is to follow. Usman is also a Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator and Trainer. Being aware of the latest teaching trends, he believes the best approach to preparing participants is problem based learning in which students are open to find a solution that is both effective and innovative. Usman is a certified user of one note, the application used by Microsoft for collaborative learning and office 365. He has gained expertise in cloud-based solutions through collaborations with Microsoft and enabled different organizations to shift on to much cheaper and efficient solutions.  Being an Educator Community Contributor, Usman believes that through sharing knowledge with the community worldwide, we can grow as a society. Through this platform, he is in touch with industrial leaders and Ivy League professors and believes he is a student and a teacher in this domain.  

Usman has done his MS in Information Technology Management from University of Sunderland, United Kingdom. Usman is currently working as Director Bachelor of Business and Information Systems (BBIS). One of his key responsibilities is to identify market trends and change the course offering so that when participants enter the market, they are trained in the most popular resource available. This has helped him establish close ties with the industry in general. His role is to help participants achieve their full potential by focusing not just on their studies, but also on grooming and implementation of practical solutions.

Usman Khalid

Usman aims to develop better industry practices by using process reengineering and Information systems to help achieve optimum efficiency and effectiveness. Usman KhalidWith Bachelors in Operations Management and Masters in Information Systems, he has gained a unique perspective on how to implement technology in the corporate sector. His experience as a  Quality Auditor (ISO 9001:and ISO 14001) has helped him help different companies take steps that are beneficial to the organization as well as the environment. Usman has also helped tailor-make Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) software and Inventory Control Systems (ICS) for companies seeking to enhance their technology platform. His latest venture was with an Australian Firm called Tandou, in which he used a multiple-regression model to help predict fluctuations in water entitlements.Usman is also on the board of Jibraan Khalid Foundation for Life, an NGO which aims to promote education in the rural areas of Pakistan. The organization builds libraries, gives funds teachers and micro-finances a variety of different projects. Where as his interest areas includes Information Systems, Enterprise Systems, Knowledge Management System, IT Project Management, Decision Support Systems, Data Mining, Data Warehousing, Decision Support Systems

Ahmad S. Sheikh

Ahmed Sheikh has over 15 years experience in operation manage-ment, customer service operations, service portfolio creation, lead-ership management, and project management. He has worked for the top 5 companies in the world including General Electric, 3Com, US Robotics and a variety of other start up companies in the United States. He has also led, managed and delivered on key nationwide initiatives for the leading service providers in Pakistan. He currently runs ThinkFaculty Company whose vision is to enable minds to explore new horizons, limitless opportunities and develop leaders for the challenges of tomorrow.

He obtained his Masters Degree in Computer Engineering from Pennsylvania and pursued Business Management studies from Chicago. He is an active and vibrant speaker, management consultant, professional trainer, and avid writer. He has published numerous research articles in IEEE, leadership management forums and Customer Service Consortiums around the globe. He has taught management and leadership classes in USA and Pakistan. Ahmed Sheikh has a proven track record of building, enhancing and transforming teams into effective and dynamic revenue growth business units. Zurabia Riaz

 Ms. Zurabia Riaz is an ERP Trainer who obtained her Post-Graduate Degree in Computer Science from University of Management and Technology. She is SAP certified and she
 had hands on experience on worlds best ERP based systems that include SAP ERP, SAP B-1, Microsoft Dynamics Axapta, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Oracle E-Business Suite. Her area of interest includes Business Process Management, Management Information Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning Simulation. Currently she is working in UMT as an Enterprise Resource Planning Instructor providing lab training to the students. She is experienced and dynamic trainer with excellent communication, management and team-building skills. Able to design and implement a variety of training programs in the field of Information Systems and IT.
