IBM Watson is the famous Super Computer made by IBM, which for the first time in Human History beat Humans in the famous US Quiz Show Jeopardy. Watson has humongous processing powers which far outstrips human capabilities, and the good news is now Watson’s analytical capabilities can be used to the analytics work of the modern day organization. IBM Watson™ Analytics helps you to discover new insights about your business or organization.
The course starts with an introduction to the main tools and ideas in the data scientist's toolbox. The course gives an overview of the data, questions, and tools that data analysts and data scientists work with. After covering the basics of data science, we will move on to Watson Analytics, and how Watson can be utilized effectively to do a modern organization’s Analytics at scale.
In this course, we will learn how to use Watson Analytics inbuilt capabilities to clean the data, do exploratory data analysis on data and finally make compelling visualizations to share the findings. Practical aspects of data i.e what is the difference between tidy and untidy data will be discussed in detail along with the statistics of Exploratory Data Analysis.
In this course, students will be given a comprehensive introduction to predictive analytics. Students will be exposed to both supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms. After the introductions to these techniques, students will be taught to do predictive analytics using Watson Analytics.
In this course, students will be exposed to how to apply their newly acquired knowledge in the Industry. We will start with Marketing Analytics i.e. how to use Watson Analytics for improving the marketing of a business, then we will move on to Human Resource Analytics and Financial Analytics. We will also do demos of how Watson Analytics can be employed by the Banking Industry, Supermarkets, call centers et all.
After mastering all aspects of working with Watson Analytics, a final project will be completed by all the students in which they will apply what they learned to make a real world application.
